Bullying is never okay. A video of a 11 year old boy named Keaton Jones from Knoxville, crying and going into detail of him being bullying in school has gone viral. In the video, Keaton tells his mom about him being called ugly and being hit with a milk carton at his school cafeteria. Since the video has been uploaded by his mom on her Facebook page (has been deleted), celebrities has been rallying up to give his support. However hours after celebrities like Rihanna has gave him public acknowledgement, a viral photo of Keaton's mom with a Confederate flag has gotten people questioning if she and her son deserve sympathy. When there's smoke, there's fire. After the drama surrounding Keaton mom in a photo with a Confederate flag, with an overly racist caption, people are questioning if she is using her son being bullied to earn money. In that same Facebook post Keaton's mom said "Dear butt hurt Americans, if you aren't bleeding, no bones are sticking out & you can breathe, stop crying! For the love, some folk clearly never picked a switch. And before ya'll start talking to me about metaphorical, emotional, financial or historical blood and brokenness. Don't. Join a group." It is also been revealed in a Facebook post she said racist things following the white supremacist rallying is Charlottesville. In Keaton's mom's GoFundMe page that included a Ronald Reagan quote in the bio, they earned $100k in one day. Donating money to the boy's family isn't going to stop him from being bullied. But a girl who committed suicide only raised $6,000 in a week.

revelations have been provided by #BlackTwitter, Keaton and his mom's actions has made it clear how kids in different races can be treated involving bullying. It has been in a discussion on Twitter that black children who have addressed the were being bullied doesn't get the same media attention or sympathy compared to white children. It has been revealed that Jones was called his classmates the N-word which in a result make kids calling him ugly including teasing him about his nose. Bullying among kids is always in a discussion among schools however victims as well as bullies need to have time to speak about their emotions to prevent damaging life threatening actions around children. This year has shown that children are at risk of homicide or suicide in the result of bullying than every before. Three young black kids died from suicide this age between the ages 8-11 years old due to bullying. Brown kids deal with the same harassment and bullying but it doesn't became widely mainstream, often unnoticed. Twitter has taken the time to point out the fact that black children get bullied and that they matter too. Ashawnty Davis, a 10 year old black child from Colorado that committed suicide after being bullied. Davis' family started a GoFundMe page for funeral expenses. In under two hours, people raised $5000 for the family to allow Ashawnty to rest in peace like she deserves. 13 year old Rosalie Avila both committed suicide due to bullied in school. It doesn't end here -- continue the conversation and push the narrative. Compassion and empathy goes a long way, folks. Take care of one another. Twitter was quick to point out that there are more important causes to donate time and money towards. Other causes that has been encouraged to acknowledge such as Puerto Rico is still suffering, Flint still don’t have clean water, slavery is happening in Libya, Syrian children are starving, and cops are still “accidentally” shooting blacks.

Updated :

Rihanna deleted her supportive post for Keaton and posted a tributary tweet about two young girls Ashawnty Davis and Rosalie Avila who passed away due to bullying.

Since a few hours, Keaton and his family was discovered that Keaton who was being bullied has been a bully himself. Actor Mark Ruffalo, who was one of the actors that includes Millie Bobby Brown, Chris Pines, Hailee Steinfield and others have shared their sympathy for Keaton before. Ruffalo even invited Keaton to the #InfinityWar premiere instead invited a 11-year-old young black motivational speaker Nyeeam Hudson.

Black children are sexualized and criminalized at the very beginning by American society. Most of the time, they have to deal with their adversity on their own. We cannot leave them behind. Suicide rates for black children has doubled within the last 20 years, and black youth are killing themselves way more than their black elders. Suicide is the 3rd leading cause of death for black people between the ages of 15-24. Its more than reasonable to realize the importance of their stories to get out and maybe we can prevent other black kids from having the same fate. Black Children matter. Black Children who are bullied? THEY MATTER, TOO.

Quote of the Day:

"White people don't understand that the reason black people are so good is not always that we're necessarily more artistically inclined, it's more because we don't have the space to suck."- Kelela
