Malala is Going to Oxford University
Malala Yousafzai is a Pakistani student, humanitarian, former blogger and activist for female education and the youngest Nobel Prize winner. The now 21-year-old wrote a blog about her life when she was 11-12 year old girl in Taliban community. she was still studying for her exams even though it was banned for women and girls to go to school. Unfortunately she endured in a life-altering shooting on October 9, 2012 by a Taliban gunman when he attempted to murder her. She remained unconscious and in critical condition at the Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology, but later her condition improved enough for her to be sent to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, UK. The murder attempt sparked a national and international outpouring of support for Yousafzai. With her bravery and resilience, she became known as "the most famous teenager in the world."
Since her recovery, Yousafzai became a prominent education activist. Since being from Birmingham, she founded the Malala Fund, a non-profit, and in 2013 co-authored I am Malala, an international bestseller. In 2015, Yousafzai was featured in the Oscar-shortlisted documentary He Named Me Malala. She was on the cover of 2013, 2014 and 2015 issues of Time magazine for being proclaimed one of the most Influential people globally. In 2012, she was the recipient of Pakistan's first National Youth Peace Prize and the 2013 Sakharov Prize. In 2014, she announced as the co-recipient of the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize of her struggle against the suppression of children's and women's right to an education. At age 17, she became the youngest-ever Nobel Prize. Malala took to Twitter to announce the news that she is a current student attending Oxford University.
She has a good reading partner but her new book Malala's Magic Pencil being a children's book about fixing the world because its what we deserve. The book is out now in bookstores since it was announce back in late 2016. If her attending Oxford and having a full discography of books said the obvious that everything is going pretty magical.
